Once again Hal Smith and Larry and Dulcie Kugelman are asking our extended OTI Family to respond to their $35,000 matching challenge grant for a grand total of $70,000 so that OTI will continue to educate, engage, and prepare our student diplomats and others for the challenges of global engagement and leadership, as they learn to move Beyond Sound Bites and Stereotypes!

Fostering Global Engagement through Experiential Education

The Olive Tree Initiative promotes conflict analysis and resolution through rigorous academic preparation, experiential education and leadership development. We provide students, faculty and community participants with the education, training and experiences needed to better understand, negotiate and resolve conflicts.

Meet Our Students and Alumni

There comes a point in our lives when we realize the issues we study don't exist in the abstract but they have a reality associated with them, and that really begins when we begin our career and we have to start acting on the challenges that we've been studying for years. I think the first moment when you switch from abstraction to reality is a very powerful one. For a lot of students OTI is that moment.
