Since its birth in 2007, OTI has become a known and respected organization, with officials and experts from both the Israeli and Palestinian side praising our rigorous academic study of the complexities of the conflict. Many OTI alumni have moved forward in related academic pursuits, winning prestigious awards and scholarships to Ph.D. programs in international relations and/or conflict resolution at top universities worldwide such as Yale, Oxford, Columbia, Cambridge, London School of Economics, and Georgetown. OTI has served as a resume-builder for alumni who have advanced in related career paths, for example, to UN offices, foreign policy teams in the U.S. Department of State, embassies and consulates, and various other government institutions around the world. Many OTI students have returned to the Middle East (or are planning to do so) to study and work there in order to continue their pursuit of bringing understanding and more education to the conflict-ridden environment.
On campus, OTI continues to leave an imprint on the way in which the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is discussed, contributing to a higher level of educated discourse and constructive activism. As acknowledgement of this and our other successes, OTI has been praised and received awards on several different occasions as a top diplomacy program in higher education.
